YouPlus
was set up by Jan Rilatt to bring together her various areas of expertise
in the personal development field. Jan’s tutoring skills have developed
as a result of her continuing work for the Centre for Lifelong Learning
(see Tutoring), her wealth of experience in the voluntary sector and of
running her own training courses. Jan Rilatt has been
working in the voluntary sector since 1997 on a variety of projects
following many years working in a financial environment. Her experience
includes working as a Learning Mentor for Barton Healthy Living Project,
Development Officer for Grimsby & Scunthorpe Rape Crisis, volunteer
for Victim Support and wide-ranging experience in the field of Domestic
Violence. She has also co-written
and delivered Peer Mentoring Programmes to Secondary school pupils in
North Lincolnshire. Currently employed
part time as a Training and Support Co-ordinator for the Volunteer Centre
at Voluntary Action North Lincs, where she organises and delivers a variety
of training needs for volunteers and voluntary organisations.
In February 2008, she organized a very successful conference on
The Reality of Self Harm with the support of Grimsby Institute.
Jan Sutton (author of Healing the Hurt Within) and Gillian Finch (C'isters) were the keynote speakers.
Her career has developed
and expanded as a result of her own extensive personal development and
vast experience of working with people from all walks of life and acquiring
a diverse range of ‘people’ related qualifications. She is
passionate about empowering people to be the best they can be and to help
them realise their potential. Jan Rilatt has a variety
of qualifications including a Diploma in Life Coaching awarded by the
Newcastle College and Certificates in Personnel Practice, Counselling,
Interpersonal Skills (Distinction) and Coaching & Mentoring in the Workplace.
She is a Dawn Breslin accredited Confidence Coach. |
